The Vamps on new album: 'It'll be scary to see if everyone likes it'

'Wild Heart' hitmakers The Vamps are finishing up their sophomore studio album and they have promised that it will be "more synthy" than their impressive debut, 'Meet The Vamps'.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine recently, heartthrob James McVey explained that fans will be surprised by his band's new musical direction with this next record as it's a little different to their debut offering:

"It’s nearly there. The first album was quite acoustic and folk-driven. This one is more synthy, like MGMT. We’re happy with the style and trying something new, but it’s a bit scary to see if everyone likes it."

The lads confessed that they've been writing songs with Ed Drewett (Little Mix's 'Black Magic', One Direction's 'Steal My Girl') and the cut is due to be officially released later this year in November.

The Vamps also opened up about touring and admitted that their rider isn't all that exciting: "It’s so boring. Haribo, energy drinks and pickled onion Monster Munch, which is very important. We occasionally have Prosecco on there – that’s how rock ‘n’ roll we get. We’re more into food. On the arena tour we had a PS4 and a table tennis table and an electric drum kit... Is that a bit more diva-ish?"
