The Vamps influenced by Taylor Swift's '1989'

The Vamps say Taylor Swift's latest album is a big inspiration for them.

The US star released the record '1989' last year and the pop-leaning effort has achieved global success.

Speaking to J-14, The Vamps singer Brad Simpson said that the album has made a big impact on his band.

The musician said: "['1989'] is a great album that we look up to. We also look up to MGMT and Imagine Dragons."

The Vamps have previously supported Swift on tour in the UK on her Red Tour.

Simpson meanwhile also took time to praise The Vamps' devotees, adding:

"We love our fans. We also are so thankful for their continued support and we honestly can't wait to play live for them [in the US]."
