The Vamps have weighed in on One Direction's well-deserved hiatus

British pop-rock band The Vamps have revealed that they understand One Direction's need for a break because everyone deserves time off.

James McVey told Much: "They've been working so hard and they're, like, the biggest band in the world so I'm not surprised they want to have a bit of time to sleep or something!" Tristan Evans added: "Yeah, actually just remember what their families look like, actually."

Evans and frontman Brad Simpson then reassured fans that they don't need to take a break just yet and won't be going anywhere:

"Two of those years were making the album so we weren't in the spotlight. We've only been in the spotlight for about a year... a year and a half? We've had it (fame) on a much more minute scale compared to them (One Direction). It's worldwide ridiculousness everywhere for them, so I can see why they'd want to have a bit of a chill."
