The Vamps on living up to expectations: 'A lot is at stake'

British pop-rock band The Vamps have revealed that putting out a successful second album was important to them because they had set the bar quite high with the release of their debut, 'Meet The Vamps'.

During a new chat with Notion magazine, the heartthrobs opened up about their great reputation and admitted that while it's humbling, it does put a lot of pressure on them to continue doing very well commercially:

"It's quite humbling, really, because you put in a lot of time and effort to make the best music you can; you slave over it and then it’s a big push. A lot is at stake. For people to like it so much that they pay to see us on tour, it's an amazing thing."

They went onto add that their latest album, entitled 'Wake Up', has a bolder sound: "I think the whole sound of the second album is different. It's definitely a progression. Its quite in your face."
