The Vamps on doing covers: 'We love to put our twist on things'

'Can We Dance' rockers The Vamps are partial to making a cover video every now and again and they have opened up abut why they love to do them.

During a new chat with the Nottingham Post, James McVey explained that doing covers is a lot of fun and they can draw on their eclectic tastes more that way for inspiration:

"We've always tried to mix it up. Sometimes it's songs that we're all just fans of. In the early days we chose some songs because it's what others were covering on YouTube. We always feel we can put a Vamps spin on songs, so even when we're covering One Direction or Justin Bieber, we feel it has our twist on it."

"Tristan and Conor are both really into, and really good at, the production side of things so we can record covers on the road. The Zayn cover was done in Singapore and the Bieber cover was done in Hong Kong. We can usually do one from scratch in a day. We actually did Kung Fu Fighting ourselves in Tristan's house."
