The Vamps share worthwhile New Year's resolutions that might inspire fans

'Last Night' hitmakers The Vamps have shared their advice for how to make 2017 a year to remember

The lads spoke to BBC Radio 1 about resolutions they feel are worthwhile and frontman Brad Simpson confessed that being kind should be at the top of everyone's list: "Treat others as you would wish to be treated. It's something i'll be doing. Or at least i'll be trying to."

James McVey's advice was a little more practical and he said: "Always make sure your Oyster card is topped up before going anywhere in London. If you're in a rush, it's difficult to top up. I've had a couple of horrible moments in rush hour."

Drummer Tristan Evans stressed the importance of family, adding: "Keep close to your family and listen to what they have to say. Family are the people who will stay with you even if you lose your friends. I'm really close with my family."

Bass player Connor Ball told the radio station that everyone should learn to play a musical instrument because music greatly contributes to the quality of life: "Learn to play an instrument, it will take the stress off life. Try and be as good at piano as Matoma. He's incredible."
