The Vamps hit P!nk up for a collaboration

The Vamps have hit P!nk up for a collaboration.

The boyband, which consists of James McVey, Brad Simpson, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, are performing at this year's V Festival in the UK on the same line-up as the 'Just Give Me A Reason' hitmaker, who is set to headline as well as Jay Z.

P!nk is returning to the festival 10 years after her debut appearance in 2007, while Jay Z is set to perform a decade-worth of hits.

Ahead of the music extravaganza, which calls at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire, West Midlands from August 19 - 20, they tweeted P!nk about a potential duet.

Taking to Twitter, they wrote: "Hi @Pink really love you and your aura. Look, we feel like we should collab. You down? (sic)"

The lads have experience of working with pop divas already, having teamed up with American pop star Demi Lovato on 'Somebody to You' three years ago.

Also set to perform on the bill this year are Ellie Goulding, Stormzy, Craig David, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, Madness, George Ezra and Anne-Marie
