The Vamps to switch on Christmas lights in Leeds

'Can We Dance' heartthrobs The Vamps have been announced as one of the acts that will appear at Leeds' Christmas lights switch-on event tomorrow (November 7).

The lads recently confirmed that they will turn on the lights in Manchester at Albert Square on November 8, but they will now turn on the lights at Leeds' Victoria Gardens at 6.45pm GMT.

Coun Lucinda Yeadon, Leeds City Council’s executive member for leisure and skills explained in a statement that it's so exciting to have the boyband in attendance: “It is great to have the Vamps and Nicola Adams attending the Light switch on this year, and will really help the 30th year of the celebrations go off with a bang."

She added: "We have a fantastic line up for the night, and I think the crowds in Victoria Gardens are going to help make the night a fantastic start to the festive celebrations.”

Meanwhile, the lads recently teased their fans by telling them that next year will be huge for them and tweeted: "Can NOT tell you how exciting next year will be. 2014 will be a year for everyone!"
