Rising stars The Vamps are up for MTV's coveted Brand New for 2014 prize, which is presented by Emporio Armani Diamonds, and will go head to head with a host of other acts for the impressive title. 

The full list of nominees was unveiled last night and the 'Can We Dance' heartthrobs will battle it out against the likes of Banks, 'La La La' hitmaker Sam Smith (pictured below), and Ella Eyre. Voting is due to open to the public next month in December

Writing on their band's official Twitter page in the early hours of this morning (November 28), the lads asked fans to support them by voting for them to win the title: "I know we ask a lot but you guys are incredible. Please help and vote for us."

Meanwhile, The Vamps are due to unveil their new single 'Wild Heart' on January 20 and recently confessed that 2014 has some serious potential for them as they have huge plans for the next twelve months: 

"Thinking about 2014 is something we get very excited about. We were very lucky this year to release our first single, and we’re totally blown away by the public’s response. Consequently, our main goal for 2014 is to meet as many fans as we can, in as many places as we can.”
