The Vamps' James praises Ellie Goulding: 'We should write together'

Heartthrob James McVey, of The Vamps, may be a huge fan of Taylor Swift, but he has now revealed his admiration for another female solo artist in the form of Ellie Goulding.

The 'Starry Eyed' beauty performed last night (December 7) at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball and McVey took to his official Twitter page after her set to praise her talents in hope of getting noticed.

He wrote: "Didn't know @elliegoulding was performing tonight! Can't wait to finally see her live <3 Ellie goulding is frickin' awesome @elliegoulding."

Upon seeing his string of excited and complimentary tweets, Goulding responded by simply writing: "@TheVampsJames aaaaaaaaah!"

McVey then replied once more and suggested they head into the studio together at some point in the future: "We should write together! Let's sort this please @elliegoulding."

The Vamps, meanwhile, will perform at London's O2 Arena later on today as part of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball, and member Tristan Evans told his social media followers: "Tomorrow, we are playing the O2 Arena, still can't believe this! #dream." Lawson, Jessie J, and Little Mix are also playing live this afternoon.
