Primal Scream have hit out at The X Factor's inclusion of their 1994 hit single, 'Rocks', after it was performed on the show over the weekend by one of the finalists. 

Self-proclaimed lothario, Frankie Cocozza, treated the audience to a rendition of the track as part of the 'rock week' theme and along with being criticised by judge Gary Barlow, Primal Scream also had something to say about his cover of their song. They tweeted:

"Sorry to hear "Rocks" was used on X-Factor. We don't endorse this. X. We weren't happy about the use of Rocks.. X"
