Frankie Cocozza posts anti-drugs message

X Factor finalist Frankie Cocozza has posted an anti-drugs message on social networking site Twitter following his dramatic run on the popular talent competition.

The young singer made it through to the live shows on The X Factor, but was asked to leave after breaking a 'golden rule' and spoke out about the actions that led to his premature elimination.

Cocozza said: "My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place."

Tweeting to his 444,000 on Boxing Day, December 26, he used himself as an example and told them to avoid drugs at all costs:

"I helped in showing a lot of young people out there that drugs fuck things up, no matter how dodgy it all was. #saynotodrugs lifes to short."

It has recently been widely reported that the tattooed tearaway will join the cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2012 when it launches on January 5 although this hasn't yet been confirmed.
