This year's 'X Factor' in the UK is set to take a different approach with the addition of a fifth judge, according to a post from the show's official Twitter page this afternoon (August 27).

So far, the panel has been confirmed as Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow (pictured together below), but a tweet was shared earlier today that hinted at a brand new addition:

"Fifth Judge? #fifthjudge. Find out who (or what) the #fifthjudge is on Friday..."

More information will be announced on Friday, August 30 although no further details have been released as of yet. Earlier this month, host Dermot O'Leary let slip that Barlow plans to leave the TV talent contest after this new series has wrapped:

"If Simon [Cowell] comes back, the dynamic would be very different. Gary [Barlow] wouldn't be there - he'll be leaving at the end of this year."
