Tinchy Stryder won't be investing in Scottish football team Rangers

Tinchy Stryder has denied rumours that he might be set to invest money into Scottish football club Rangers.

The British rapper has never shied away from talking about football and he has revealed a surprise liking for successful Glasgow club Rangers.

The team recently endured financial woe and its new owners are inviting fans to purchase shares in the club's parent company.

However, Stryder told STV that despite rumours to the contrary, he isn't looking to invest his cash in the massive club. He said:

"I like them cause of footballers that played for them before. I like [manager] Ally McCoist, I like [former player] Barry Ferguson. I like a lot of different people that have played for them and I guess it was one of these things, I was like, 'that is my team'. So when I heard what was happening and everyone was like 'Are you going to invest?', I was like 'woah'."

When asked if he would invest, Stryder appeared to knock back the suggestions, concluding: "I like them, I like their football yeah, I'll keep it as that."
