Tinie feels small in US

Tinie Tempah might be a huge star in the UK, but in America the 'Written In the Stars' rapper is finding it a bit of a struggle to crack the market.

His debut single has managed over one million in sales in the US, but somehow the star still ends up playing to crowds of only 10 people at times.

He told the Daily Star: “The American promo has been intense, because it’s so huge. I’ve had to perform at places where just ten and 15 people turned up, which was a very humbling experience.

“They were into it though. Those are the kind of gigs you remember.”

Tinie is hoping that the gaggle of collaborations he has planned for his next album will help him out Stateside.

He revealed: “I’ve been in the studio with Pharrell Williams and had songs sent over by The Script as well. I’ve been talking a lot to Usher. He’s a great guy and I’m pretty confident we will do something together.”
