Tinie Tempah: "Miley Cyrus clearly has a plan"

Tinie Tempah believes that Miley Cyrus's antics are all part of a strategy.

The singer has turned heads on numerous occasions this year, mainly due to her raunchy behaviour and penchant for stripping off.

Speaking to the Mirror, the UK rapper said that he thinks the 'We Can't Stop' star is ultimately aiming for people to keep speaking about her.

The 'Demonstration' man added that he thinks it is difficult for young artists to shrug off their old, youthful images. He said:

"It's really hard for somebody in the public eye to grow up. Everything happened with me at kind of like a perfect age. I was 19, 20. I had already experienced enough life doing my thing. I was old enough to know what I'm doing. But when I think of Miley Cyrus, I think about the fact that everyone would always see this girl as Hannah Montana."

Tempah continued: "And it's very difficult, even when you look at Justin Bieber - it's almost like no matter what he does, you'll always think of the guy with the hair over his eyes singing 'Baby'. I sympathise with them. I do think sometimes you have to go a bit extreme to kind of get people's attention. And I think that's exactly what she's done. I don't by any means think she's stupid. If she was, why would we have not heard of Hannah Montana having a breakdown?"

"She's branding herself as Miley Cyrus, she's picking the right moment to do the right thing. It's not like you ever catch her off camera or hear about her in a private club. That never happens. It's only when she's on TV, at an awards show. She picks the right moment to do things to get people talking. And I'm not saying I condone it or anything like that but when you look at it objectively - she clearly has a plan. She's clearly trying to get everyone talking about her. And everyone is talking about her so therefore she's getting what she wants out of it and her album is selling really well, and people are buying her music, so it seems like the plan is working."
