Tinie Tempah: 'I wasn't allowed into my own after party in the USA'

British rap sensation Tinie Tempah has revealed that he was shocked to be refused entry to his own after party in America a short while ago.

He told TV chat show host Graham Norton that during a previous trip to the USA, he tried to walk into his own event and was barred because security had no idea who it was, which was an embarrassing experience:

"We were trying to break America so everything was scaled back. Weeks before I had been performing for between 10 and 15 thousand people (in Britain) and there I was standing on a bar in the middle of the day performing to three or four people."

"After one gig, I tried to get into the aftershow and I wasn't allowed in. To make it worse they were playing one of my songs in the background. It was horrible."

Tinie, meanwhile, will head out on a full UK tour next spring in support of his new studio album, 'Demonstration', which was released back in November
