Tom Odell: 'Women are treated so unfairly in the music industry'

Musician Tom Odell has spoken out about the gender inequality that's so prevalent in the music world.

Speaking to the Evening Standard recently, the 'Another Love' sensation explained that there's such an obvious double standard in the music industry and it's much kinder to men than it is to women:

“I feel like I can turn up to a TV show and can look like s**t and no one’s going to comment on my appearance."

"In exactly the same scenario, I’ve seen girls turning up and their appearance will be commented on. I think that’s unfair."

Odell, meanwhile, recently announced details of a full UK headlining tour and you can check out his schedule here:

  • November 1 - Dublin Olympia
  • November 2 - Belfast Limelight
  • November 4 - Brighton Centre
  • November 5 - Plymouth Pavilions
  • November 6 - Swindon Oasis
  • November 8 - Leeds O2 Academy Leeds
  • November 9 - Manchester O2 Apollo
  • November 12 - Birmingham O2 Academy Birmingham
