Troye Sivan: 'The LGBT community has been reminded not to be complacent'

Rising star Troye Sivan has revealed that the recent Orlando shooting is a "wake-up call" for people to keep campaigning for tolerance, love and acceptance.

During a brief chat with Us magazine, the singer admitted that it's crucial that the LGBT community does "not become complacent" and instead continues to be outspoken and proud of themselves and everything they have accomplished so far:

"It shows how far we have to go still and reminds the LGBTQ community to not become complacent. Use this as a wake-up call to keep going and to keep being loud and proud and to keep trying to encourage tolerance, and love and acceptance in the world."
