Union J believe their next single features a unique sound.

The boyband told Capital FM at the Pride of Britain awards on Monday (October 6) that their next track is due to land in the coming weeks.

Singer Josh Cuthbert suggested that the single will show off a new sound rarely exhibited by their pop peers.

He said: "We feel like there's no other bands out there that are doing what this sound is, I think this is what we're going to stick with."

JJ Hamblett added: "It's basically we've gone back to our old roots, it's a different lane for Union J."

Speaking about when the tune will be premiered, George Shelley said:

"We have our new single hitting radio in a week and a half-ish, we're buzzing for it."

Union J are currently working on their second album.
