19 year old Alessia Cara releases the rebellious,  ‘Wild things’, the second single to be taken from her acclaimed debut album, 'KNOW-IT ALL’ out March 11th

The song follows on from her attention grabbing debut single ‘Here’, expressing the same message; To not be constrained by expectations of how you should behave, but follow your own path and find your own scene. Already a favourite among her legions of fans ‘Wild Things’ is a cry of defiance against ‘Selfie culture’. You can get a taste of her passion for the track in her latest tour video. 

2015 has been a meteoric rise for the Canadian singer and there’s no doubt that Cara is a force to be reckoned with. The world first took notice after she began posting YouTube covers of her favourite artists; The Weeknd, Drake, Amy Winehouse. Since then she’s been consistently proving herself as a confident and insightful songwriter, a rebellion showing wisdom in her lyrics beyond her years. With songs like ‘Overdose’ and ‘Outlaws’ this ‘anti – social pessimist’ isn’t afraid of being the outsider. A sign of her enduring quality and immediate likeability, not only has she got the enthusiastic support from fans and critics, she also has a slew of notable admirers including Lorde, Drake, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift. 

Alessia came second in the BBC’s  Sound of 2016, has been hotly tipped for 2016 by everyone from DIY Magazine to the Observer. She hit #1 Future Hits on UK Shazam and #6 in the Official Trending Chart. The track been streamed 13 million times in the UK alone and worldwide an incredible 166 million times.

In the US ‘Here’ became an instant viral hit with its languid R&B sound, sampling the Isaac Hayes’ instrumental ‘Ike’s Rap 2’. Co-written by Sebastian Kole and produced by Pop & Oak, the track peaked at #1 on the US Shazam Chart, #1 Pop chart US and sold 3 million singles.

In November the Ontario native played a sold out show at London’s Dingwalls having played a sold out at a show at Camden’s Barfly just 8 weeks prior. Joined on stage by Katy B, the audience was treated to a cover of Drake’s smash hit "Hotline Bling". Alessia has just completed a sold out headline tour of the US and will be back in the UK in March to play sold out shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

A world away from the shiny pop sensations, Cara is set to storm the globe in 2016.
