will.i.am. to Release Solo Single, "T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)," Featuring Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez

TRACK IS LEAD-OFF SINGLE FROM WILL.I.AM'S NEW SOLO ALBUM, #WILLPOWER, DUE FROM INTERSCOPE RECORDS IN 2012

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 17, 2011 -- Multi-platinum producer and songwriter will.i.am will release a solo single, entitled "T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)," featuring Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez, on Sunday, November 20th. He will premiere the track in a performance with Lopez on this Sunday's American Music Awards telecast, which airs on ABC at 8/7c. Produced by will.i.am, Audiobot, and Dallas Austin, "T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)" will be made available on iTunes immediately following will.i.am and Lopez's performance.  

"T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)" is the debut single from The Black Eyed Peas founder and frontman's new solo album, #willpower, which will be released next year on Interscope. A video for the song, directed by Rich Lee and shot in Los Angeles and London, will be released later this month.

A seven-time Grammy Award-winner, will.i.am is known not only for his work with The Black Eyed Peas, who have sold 31 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide, but also for his work with some of the entertainment industry's biggest names, including Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, David Guetta, and film composer Hans Zimmer.
