Will.i.Am to launch range of eco-friendly recycled headphones

Music mogul Will.i.Am has unveiled plans to launch a range of headphones made from recycled materials.

He is set to team up with global company Coca Cola to create the exciting product, which will carry the brand name Ekocycle headphones, and they will hit shelves later this year in the autumn.

Speaking about the project, the 'Boom Boom Pow' hitmaker explained:

"If you think about (recycled) products now, none of them are cool. You have to bring some art and fashion sensibility into this technology that turns a bottle into something cool."

Although the headphones will be eco-friendly, they carry a hefty price tag and will set customers back $349 (£218) per pair.

Will.i.Am joined in with a worlwide trending topic on Twitter earlier today that called for users to recommend 'rejected Olympic events' and he suggested: "break dancing is the sport to hiphop culture...its athletic art & you need to be skilled in acrobatics."
