'Boom Boom Pow' superstar Will.i.Am has opened up about the relationship between celebrity and fashion and confessed that if there's extra money to be made, famous people will give anything a go.

During an interview with the Metro LU newspaper, he admitted that once celebrities have a taste for the spotlight they tend to try out other avenues in order to boost their income and fashion seems to be an easy route to take. 

When asked why he thinks people who have found fame in other creative industries turn their hand to fashion, the hitmaker explained: "You want my honest opinion? Their manager told them that they could make some money here."

Despite this somewhat jaded view, Will.i.Am added that there are some music heavyweights who are genuinely talented at designing clothing, like Kanye West: "Kanye's game is that he wants to design. He's saying, 'I want you guys to see my stuff.' That's dope, right? He's not playing the usual [celebrity] game - he's passionate."
