“A great artistic leap 4/5" Q
"One of the most thought-provoking writers of his generation" The Sunday Times
"A vivid bubble of warmth... full of unashamed, orchestrally embellished pop-rock-folk hybrids, instantly accessible and almost as speedily rewarding.”  Drowned in Sound

Currently in the middle of what’s shaping up to be an incredible UK tour, Dan Mangan has revealed the beautiful video for single ‘About As Helpful As You Can Be Without Being Any Help At All’, which was released this week through City Slang. Dan also plays a sold out show at London’s Bush Hall tonight ahead of his appearance at the Camden Crawl on Sunday.

Directed by Stuart Gillies and featuring dancers, Chinese lanterns and campfires, the video for ‘About As Helpful...’ is exactly what a music video should be. Taking place in a clearing of rugged woodland amongst broken belongings, Dan comes face to face with otherworldly dancers performing what can only be described as a romantic interpretation of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.  You can see the surreal video below:

'About As Helpful As You Can Be Without Being Any Help At All' is taken from Dan's critically acclaimed album 'Oh Fortune' which came out in December last year.

From today, you can also see the stunning Plectrum Session Dan participated in at SXSW earlier this year. Filmed for Ben Sherman and Clash, Dan explains the story behind the track ‘Rows of Houses’ and performs alongside his band.

Dan Mangan will be playing the following UK dates:

5th: LEEDS, Holy Trinity Church
