Zayn Malik not to take part in Graham Norton Show recording

Former One Direction star, Zayn Malik, will no longer be attending the recording of his first appearance as a solo artist on Graham Norton's chat show his spokesperson has confirmed.

The 23-year-old was supposed to appear on the show on Friday evening (January 29) but has cancelled due to "scheduling" issues.

He was due to pre-record the show tomorrow evening (January 28) alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds.

It would have been his first ever appearance since leaving One Direction.

Malik's appearance was promoted at the end of last week's Graham Norton Show, and also on the show's Twitter handle.

News of his cancellation has not been officially acknowledged by the show.

The airing of the show would have coincided with the official release of his debut single, 'PillowTalk'.
