Zayn Malik 'cancels radio interview' 45 minutes before going on air

Zayn Malik pulled out of a BBC Radio 1 interview less than an hour before he was due on air, it has been widely reported.

The singer was expected to appear on the station for a chat with DJ Greg James on Monday (February 1) afternoon.

However, it has been reported that awaiting fans were left disappointed after Malik pulled out at the last-minute.

The singer's slot was replaced with a tribute to late BBC radio star Terry Wogan.

It's the second time in a week that the 'Pillowtalk' man has cancelled a scheduled promotional appearance.

He was due to star on the Graham Norton Show on BBC 1 on Friday (January 29).

However, the Brit is due to appear on the Elvis Duran radio show on Z100 today (February 2) from 6.40am ET (11.40am GMT).

The pulled promotional appearances hasn't affected Malik's sales, however, with his debut single 'Pillowtalk' sitting pretty at No.1 in the UK.
