Zayn Malik's 'Mind of Mine' is only one of two UK debut albums in the entire top 200 chart of the year so far.

Music Week confirms that the record, which was released in March and later hit No.1, has sold 52,658 units so far in 2016.

This makes it the 46th biggest selling album in the UK of the year so far.

The only other debut album from a UK artist to feature in the top 200 is Jake Garratt's 'Phase', which sold 47,673 copies to reach No.54 in the top 200.

The rest of the entire top 200 so far for this year features new entries from non-UK acts and records released before 2016.

Responding to the news on Twitter today (July 5), Garratt said way people consume music is changing.

He said: "Music and the way that people experience music has changed. Its future is in the hands of you guys. The music lovers.

"Your supp. of new music, old music, indi labels, majors, world music, underground music, whatever the f*ck it is, YOUR supp. makes it happen [sic]."
