Manchester Band Stops Traffic, Shoppers get in the Mood to Dance


Northwest music collective brings music to the people

This afternoon approximately 12.10pm a band of drummers, poets, rappers, trumpets, trombones, violins and an army of music lovers snaked there way down market street. From Manchester Piccadilly to just short of St Annes Square.  This spontaneous outpouring of Urban music wowed the crowds, "Gotta Get A hold, Gotta Get a Hold, was the cry, as the drum beat and brass, horns & violins, brought an early carnival feel to manchester streets. 

Megaphone in hand, flags waving, guitars strumming, "Moods, Moods, Moods, Come to The Ritz, 8th September, a shameless living advert for a forthcoming massive night of new music. In the traditions of the old circus ringmasters, a snaking parade, people of all ages joining in proclaiming that a "BIG SHOW COMES TO TOWN. Leading the parade, an obvious "ringmaster", Resplendant in Top hat and plumage, emerald green shirt, giant sandwich Board proclaming a live gig at the famous ritz, 8th September. This was living street theatre, bringing music to city centre shoppers- . "Brilliant To see".  

After an incredible summer of brilliant gigs all over the UK, The Moods are coming home to launch their highly-anticipated debut album “Missing Peace”. Catch The Moods at the O2 Ritz on 8th September for their most raucous gig yet.

On the 8th September, The Moods bring their electrifying live show to Manchester’s landmark O2 Ritz. The moods also have a brilliant new single P.O.P. (Profit over People), taken from the album, and is an addictive anthem with a powerful message. At a moment in time when music is a crucial part of the push for social change, this breathtaking track is both resonant and relevant. Missing Peace showcases The Moods’ talent for producing mighty music with substance and grit. The Moods will make you dance, and then they’ll make you think. The single is released worldwide on A1M records on 8th September.

The Moods are a ten-piece collective of producers, poets and musicians from Manchester and the North West. Combining drum & bass, reggae, hip-hop and EDM, their music sparks off a contagious need to dance. This summer, the band’s live act got even greater with the welcoming of Alice, a classically-trained violinist, to the family; her stunning strings bring a whole new level to The Moods’ already awesome performance.
