Adam Lambert has taken to Twitter to express his joy at being a full-time singer and entertainer.

The 'Trespassing' man shot to fame on the 2009 series of American Idol and he has enjoyed a successful time of it since starting a solo career.

It seems 2014 will be a busy year for Lambert, with the release of his third album mooted, and the vocal powerhouse took to Twitter to reveal his gratitude.

He said: "I am living an American Dream. Being an entertainer is owning my own small business. I am so grateful to have earned this right. ;)."

Lambert continued: "And when I go to "the office" I have the joy of singing, writing, acting, listening, dressin up, and working w other talents. I LOVE life."

The singer previously tweeted that the "wheels are in motion" with regards to recording new material.

His last studio effort came in the shape of 2012's chart-topping 'Trespassing'.
