Adam Lambert has offered more details about the sound of his upcoming album.

The singer has been holed away in Sweden working on the follow-up to his 2012 record 'Trespassing'.

Speaking on Twitter, the vocal powerhouse said that his record will be a "post-modern" affair.

When asked if the album will have light and dark shades, Lambert replied: "It's still cookin girl, I can't tell u what ingredients I'm using - you'll just have to wait to taste it when it's good n ready."

He added: "What I CAN say about the album is that is a completely post-modern affair. Very sonically diverse and very honest."

Lambert had earlier spoken about his time as a guest on Glee, which is coming to an end this week:

"I also wanted to say how much I loved being on @GLEEonFOX this season. I learned so much & had so much fun. Thanks to the cast and fans."
