Radio DJ confirms Adam Lambert and Avicii song will be a single

A radio DJ has confirmed that Adam Lambert and Avicii's 'Lay Me Down' is being released as a single in Australia.

The two musicians teamed up alongside guitarist Nile Rodgers for the 2013 track, which features on Avicii's debut album 'True'.

There had been murmurs about the song being released as a single and Australian radio man Byron Cooke has now confirmed the news on Twitter.

He said: "@Avicii ftg @AdamLambert @nilerodgers #LayMeDown is officially the NEXT single from #True in Australia."

Cooke added a screenshot of a promotional message from Universal announcing the news.

Lambert meanwhile is currently working on the follow-up to his 2012 album 'Trespassing'.

He was recently in Sweden to start creating its tunes.
