Adam Lambert on Queen bandmates: "They're so paternal and warm"

Adam Lambert has revealed that Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor often act "paternal" towards him.

The singer has fronted the rock group on a number of occasions in recent years and they are set to tour the US, Asia and Australia this summer.

Speaking at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London last night (June 3), Lambert opened up about his relationship with his Queen comrades.

He said: "They're so sweet. They're so paternal and warm. When it all clicks and when it all gels and we're up there and a song really takes off, there's a lot of joy. You can feel it. Everybody smiles at each other and there's this energy that starts sparkling around."

The vocal powerhouse is currently in the UK for rehearsals ahead of Queen's first tour date in the US on June 19 in Chicago.
