Adam Lambert "very excited" about new album

Adam Lambert has spoken of his excitement about his next album.

The singer has been working for a number of months on the follow-up to his 2012 smash 'Trespassing'.

He has recently been in Sweden to continue moulding the record and he told reporters at last night's (June 3) Glamour Women of the Year Awards that progress is going well.

Lambert said: "I'm working on an album. I'm very excited by it. I think people are going to be surprised and excited by it."

The singer meanwhile said in the same interview that he is in awe of the energy and spark that is created when he joins Queen on stage.

The vocal powerhouse said: "They're so sweet. They're so paternal and warm. When it all clicks and when it all gels and we're up there and a song really takes off, there's a lot of joy. You can feel it. Everybody smiles at each other and there's this energy that starts sparkling around."
