Adam Lambert on Queen tour: 'At first I was trembling in my boots and now I want to just raise the game'

'Trespassing' hitmaker Adam Lambert has revealed that he finally feels completely confident about performing with Queen and can't wait for the run of arena dates to kick off because he wants to push himself to the limit.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest at KIIS-FM ahead of tonight's (June 16) iHeartRadio Theatre performance, Lambert confessed that it's a great way to get in the zone before the huge arena tour begins later this week:

"It’s kind of like a little sampler of our big arena tour that we’re about to kick off on Thursday in Chicago. We’re kind of putting the highlights together for the audience tonight. The rehearsal process has been a blast. Getting back onstage with these guys has been really good.”

He went onto add that because he has performed with Queen numerous times previously, he isn't nervous about singing the band's iconic rock songs any more and instead just feels like he wants to raise the bar with each show that takes place:

"The first time we did this in front of a big, big, big audience, I was trembling in my boots a little bit. Now it feels like we’re really, really one jelled unit. We’ve done this now, all the nerves are out. What’s good about that when we get onstage, we want to do it better every time. It kind of raises the game."
