Adam Lambert on new album: 'We'd probably be able to put something out now, but I'm a perfectionist'

Adam Lambert has suggested that he has enough new material to release an album.

However, the singer added that his perfectionist nature means that he will keep working away to make the best record possible.

The US star's last album came in the shape of 2012's 'Trespassing' and Lambert has been busy creating its follow-up.

He told Rolling Stone that he is continuing work on the record despite probably having enough tunes to release an album right now.

Lambert said of the new record: "I'm not finished with that. I've done a lot of work and there's some amazing music. We'd probably be able to put something out now, but I'm a perfectionist and I have to make sure that I love every song 100 percent and that they're perfect for me. I maybe want to find even more material. I'm not going to rush a project like this."
