Adam Lambert and AT&T team up to encourage fans to 'Live Proud'

Vocal sensation Adam Lambert has teamed up with U.S. cell phone service provider AT&T to launch a competition that will see five lucky winners meet him in New York City.

The contest is in association with Live Proud and all fans have to do in order to be in with a chance of winning is create an 'inspirational Live Proud meme' (example pictured left) and submit it online.

A post on the competition's official entry page, which is on Facebook, explains details of the main prize:

"Five winners will receive a round-trip flight to New York, where they will be given the ultimate VIP experience: chauffeur service, a hotel suite for 2 nights and a private meet and greet with Adam at an exclusive Live Proud private event. One of these lucky five will receive the Grand Prize, and will be granted one-on-one time with Adam during his event rehearsal."

During a recent interview with Music Choice Play, Lambert opened up about being considered a role model for the LGBT community and admitted that it's hard because it's impossible to please everyone: "You can't please everybody. And everybody wants you to be a different thing for a different group. At the end of the day, I'm just a guy that wanted to sing and dress up in crazy clothes."

He concluded: "So, it was hard for me to accept that, like it or not, I was going to be somebody that they looked at as a figure that was representing the gay community to the rest of the public."
