Adam Lambert has talked up Sam Smith after seeing him perform live.

The vocal powerhouse checked out the 'Stay With Me' star in Los Angeles earlier this week (September 30).

It seems the US star was wholly impressed by the Brit, who is touring in support of his debut album 'In The Lonely Hour'.

Lambert uploaded a video online after the gig, adding: "@samsmithworld was fantastic last night! Vocal masterclass!"

Smith replied: "Thank you so much for coming brother xxxx."

The former American Idol star later uploaded a photo of himself at the gig with a bunch of other people including Jake Shears, with the singer writing:

"At the @samsmithworld show w @jakeshears @mark_cramer @daniellestori @negativeneil My Mama and Ray! Good vibes great music."
