Adam Lambert recreates his 'American Idol' audition while judging on the show

Singer Adam Lambert recently stepped in to be a temporary judge on 'American Idol' after Keith Urban was forced to take an unexpected leave of absence, and he ended up singing for the panel after a request from one of the judges.

Harry Connick Jr. told the vocal sensation that he would have loved to witness his first audition for the show and asked if he would consider recreating it while on set:

"Since Adam's been here... it must be so amazing, right? I can't stop thinking about what you must be thinking sitting behind this desk. You're the only one who's done this on both sides - it's been crazy. As you're doing such an amazing job as a judge, I feel like I missed an opportunity as a judge to hear you audition."

Fellow panelist Jennifer Lopez told Lambert: "You don't have to!"

The superstar gladly obliged and exited the audition room only to walk back in and announce that he was going to perform a particularly vocally challenging song by iconic rock band Queen, which he first auditioned with back in 2009: "I'm going to recreate my audition... my song. I ain't scurred... and I can sing. I'm going to sing 'Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen."
