Unwell Adam Lambert apologises after Queen cancels Brussels show

Adam Lambert has apologised after a Queen show was cancelled due to "severe bronchitis".

The band and the US singer were due to perform at Palais 12 in Brussels, Belgium on Sunday (February 8).

However, the rock veterans announced on the day that they had to pull out of the gig because Lambert was unwell.

They said in a statement: "The cancellation comes after doctors in Frankfurt, where Queen + Adam Lambert performed last night, this morning diagnosed Adam with severe bronchitis and have ordered 24 hour vocal and bed rest.

"Unfortunately, due to unavailability of the venue, it not going to be possible to reschedule the show. It is not expected that the rest of the Queen + Adam Lambert tour which ends in the UK February 27 will be affected."

Lambert later took to Twitter to reach out to fans, saying:

"Brussels: sad we had to cancel tonight. The last thing I'd want is to let u down but I'm under doctors orders to stay in bed and get well.

"Thank you for your understanding and patience. ;)."

Queen's next date is scheduled to take place in Milan on February 10.
