Adam Lambert on his new album: 'It's less about me and more about the listener'

'Trespassing' sensation Adam Lambert has teased that his new album, 'The Original High', is more geared towards the listener because he wants the tracks on the record to connect with his followers.

During a new interview with Digital Spy, the superstar confessed that he's hoping to really reach his fans with the songs as they're more for them than they are for himself: "I want it to be less about me, even though it's personal, and more about the listener. So whatever it means to you."

As previously reported, Lambert admitted that he really experimented with genres and while the record is mostly pop there are definitely other influences on there: "Yeah, I have a new album coming out this summer called 'The Original High'. It was produced by Max Martin and Shellback... It's definitely pop, but there's some house on there and some R&B flavours, and I co-wrote the whole thing with them so I'm really excited."
