Adam Lambert on success: 'I didn't know how far this path would take me'

Superstar Adam Lambert dropped his brand new single 'Ghost Town' earlier today (April 21) and called into 106.1 BLI to talk about the amazing year he's had so far.

Speaking to the hosts about the Queen tour and then making his new record, which is titled 'The Original High', the vocal powerhouse admitted that he has been honoured with the opportunities that have come his way recently"

"I got back at the end of February and then had finishing touches to put on my album. It was fun - it was unbelievable. That was the biggest honour and I had a blast doing it, I enjoyed doing it. That and getting a GRAMMY nomination were the two big highlights things so far."

When asked if he ever expected this level of success, Lambert admitted: "I always wanted to be in the arts and an entertainer, but I didn't know how far any of this was going to take me. At 27, when I auditioned for 'Idol', I thought, 'yeah right, this is a long shot'. But, it worked out well!"
