Adam Lambert: 'I'll keep dating people who crap on my heart as it creates good music'

Superstar Adam Lambert has opened up about his dating life and confessed that the one great thing that came out of being single is the inspiration for the songs on his forthcoming new album, 'The Original High'.

During a new interview with On Air With Ryan this morning (April 22), the hitmaker admitted that he has been writing great tracks as a result of recent heartbreak, although he would consider a relationship in the future now that he's had some time alone:

"I’ll probably just keep dating people that crap on my heart. Keep me miserable so I can write good music! The title even — 'The Original High' — I mean, we all are longing for things in life. We all want this or that or the other thing. It’s very easy to get caught in a cycle where you’re always chasing the same thing and you’re always trying to recreate the first time you felt something. It’s really hard to push forward.”

When asked if he’s enjoying the single life, the 'Trespassing' sensation admitted that it's great for now and he's enjoying everything he does: “I’m having a good time with it... If I met the right person, I would consider it (settling down). It’s so easy to get stuck on these plans that you make for your life, but in actuality, in my experience, I take it as it comes. You meet people in your life and you see what kind of relationship develops and you take it one day at a time — I think? Right?”
