Adam Lambert praises Madonna: 'I love her and watch her work'

Superstar Adam Lambert has revealed that he's a huge fan of Madonna and thought it was funny when they both released singles called 'Ghost Town' earlier this season.

Speaking to Access Hollywood recently, the hitmaker explained that it was an odd coincidence and he confessed that he really loves everything the Queen of Pop has released so he was in good company with the title: "It was definitely a coincidence."

"My song was already mixed and we had already decided it was the first single, like back [in] the fall of last year and then her tracklisting came out and I saw it on iTunes and I saw 'Ghosttown', and I went, 'What? What are the chances?' Especially because I'm a Madonna fan. I definitely love her and I watch her work, so it felt strange, but you know the songs are so different, that. once I heard her song I was like, 'Oh, OK. Hers is like this, mine's like this.' It's fine."

Lambert's new album, 'The Original High', debuted at No.4 on the UK midweek albums chart update today (June 18) and its final position will be confirmed this coming Sunday, June 21.
