Adam Lambert on the 'statement' behind 'Ghost Town'

Adam Lambert has opened up on the meaning of his latest single.

The US star is releasing the track 'Ghost Town' as the first cut from new album 'The Original High'.

It features lyrics such as: "I tried to believe in God and James Dean, but Hollywood sold out."

Speaking to the Daily Star, Lambert said that the tune reflects a stage in his life where he felt "lost".

The singer said: "'Ghost Town' is this statement that says, 'I thought I knew what I wanted, I thought I knew who I was, but now I feel empty and lost'.

"That's the starting point of the album and the journey we goes on."

'The Original High' meanwhile has reached No.4 on the UK midweek albums chart.
