Adam Lambert album hits US chart top three

Adam Lambert's latest album has reached No.3 in the US.

The singer recently unleashed his third record 'The Original High'.

Billboard have confirmed that it has peaked at No.3 on their albums chart.

The record sold 47,000 units on its first week on sale.

James Taylor's 'Before This World' topped the list, whilst Taylor Swift's '1989's is No.2.

The news represents a comedown from Lambert's previous album, 2012's 'Trespassing'.

That record debuted at No.1 in the US upon release.

His 2009 maiden effort 'For Your Entertainment' peaked at No.3 on the chart.
