Adam Lambert covers Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game'

Adam Lambert has performed a cover of Chris Isaak's iconic 'Wicked Game'.

The singer ran through the 1989 track during a gig at Morongo Casino Resort in California on July 18.

A video of the performance has been uploaded online and subsequently shared by Lambert on Twitter.

The singer meanwhile is currently promoting his latest record 'The Original High'.

The album, which came out in June, features the lead single 'Ghost Town'.

Lambert recently said in an interview that his previous label RCA, with whom he split in 2013, wouldn't allow him to record an album of original material.

They instead wanted the US star to release a collection of 80s covers.

Speaking about the RCA idea, Lambert said: "To be successful in this industry you have to have a side of you that’s a business person and a side of you that’s an artist.

"And on a business level, I was being objective - ok, I can see how this [the proposed covers album] would be a good business proposition.

"But I was waiting to see if my ‘artist’ would respond to it. I was listening to the music and it just didn’t resonate - it didn’t feel like what I should be doing - I just had to trust my gut on that. And it was a little scary saying so, because i was like, ‘I guess that means I gotta go’."
