Adam Lambert not offended by Ricky Martin dating suggestion

Adam Lambert insists there was "no drama" during a recent Australian radio appearance in which it was suggested he should date Ricky Martin.

A number of media outlets reported that the singer was angry after KIIS FM host Jackie O said Lambert and Martin should see each other.

The 'Ghost Town' singer said at the time that it is "silly" to suggest two men should date because they are gay.

The host backtracked by stating that she meant both men had similar careers and were both "hot".

Speaking in an new interview with New Zealand's gay publication Express, Lambert said that there was no real problem with what the host said.

He revealed: "That was really funny, because there was no drama.

"They [the media] made it such a big deal, but I wasn’t offended at all."

When asked if there are double standards for single gay artists compared to straight ones, Lambert said:

"There is a shred of truth in that, but I was having fun with her. I didn’t think twice about it. Some people invented some other drama that wasn’t going on."
