Adam Lambert on rock band Queen and The Original High Tour

Adam Lambert has been touring for so long with the legendary rock band, Queen, that it's time now to venture back out on his own.

However, it's been at least five years since he has and so he admits that it will be interesting to see how many rock fans he can now turn into Glamberts, since The Original High Tour kicked off at the start of the year.

When asked about touring with Queen, Lambert said:

"The interesting thing about being on tour with them was that I saw such a cross-section of different ages and races and genres. It was a very broad audience, and that's sort of similar to what I see at my shows. I see kids. I see their parents. I see their parent's parents."

"With (Queen) it really came down to me just having to prove it, that I had a right to be there, which is good. I like a challenge. It's easy to write off somebody from a TV show talent competition but...I think we were successful."

"I loved working with them. They are classy and inspiring and they've given me a lot of freedom within the music, which I'm very grateful for."

In April, Lambert is set to play the role of the delivery boy Eddie in Fox's live musical version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

"I love that movie," says Lambert. "It's such a cult favorite. I just think it's incredibly silly and campy. It's way out to lunch. I think that they've assembled a great cast to bring it into this era, and I'm really looking forward to how it turns out."
