Adam Lambert calls Sam Smith and Lady Gaga his Oscar 'heroes'

Adam Lambert has lavished praise on Sam Smith and Lady Gaga after they starred at the Oscars on Sunday (February 28).

The Brit won Best Original Song for 'Writing's On The Wall', which acted as the theme to the 2015 James Bond film Spectre.

He paid tribute to the LGBT community in his acceptance speech.

Lady Gaga meanwhile performed 'Til It Happens To You' alongside survivors of sexual assault.

Taking to Twitter after the ceremony, Lambert praised the duo for their starring role at the ceremony.

He wrote: "Watching the Oscars on a tour bus is bizarre.

"Yaaaaaaaaaaaas @samsmithworld!!!!!

"Both @ladygaga and @samsmithworld are my heroes tonight. Beautiful performances and both are glowing!!! Wow."

The singer, however, has since deleted his tweets.
